So, anyone whose tried to play bfbc2 so far has probably encountered this to some degree. Basically the gist is that BFBC2 is vastly more popular than EA had expected and their servers have been crippled since launch.

The poor IT guys there must be working like fiends right now. I think they've already done 4-5 redesigns of their system but it just keeps getting overloaded. Ha! I hope this gives developers a sense of how much PC gamers wanted dedi servers: all the pent up demand.

DICE just announced today that if you get the limited edition of BFBC2 (that is if you preorder) then you will get a bonus map pack available for download on day 1 FREE! That's 2 free maps.

It's definately worth it if you ask me. Here's a preview of these 2 maps
